EMCMUD 3 – District Annexations

The Board of Directors of East Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 3 (EMCMUD 3) would like to update residents regarding planned annexations for the District.

The first planned annexation is to the north of the existing industrial park (see image) on the northern border of the District. This would add 29.1 acres of industrial-zoned property to the District.

The second annexation is to the southwest of the District (see image), adding 139.243 acres of single-family, residential property to be developed by DR Horton. DR Horton had developed the majority of the existing Porters Mill neighborhood.

Annexations such as the above bring additional assessed property value and revenue to districts, allowing the Board more options and opportunities to manage the operations of infrastructure and fund projects within the District.
